YOUR SKINPEN MICRONEEDLING SESSION
First, numbing cream or topical anesthesia will be applied so that the patient will be comfortable during the procedure. Next, the SkinPen microneedling handpiece will be placed on the skin. The microneedles in the SkinPen will create very small cuts in the skin. The area will be treated evenly. A calming cream will be used on the treated areas after the procedure.
MICRONEEDLING AFTERCARE
This procedure typically requires no downtime/recovery time, so you can return to normal activities immediately. The collagen will stimulate the healing process while going about your daily life.
However, there will still be skin pinkness and swelling present for a time. You must avoid heavy sun exposure and wear sunscreen. You will also need to protect your treated skin from getting infected. Refrain from taking a bath or getting in the water in public places like swimming pools, rivers, lakes, and seas to avoid germs.
