How does SmartLipo work?

SmartLipo is a type of laser liposuction that offers a way to remove fat without the invasive techniques used in traditional liposuction. The process uses laser technology to safely penetrate your skin and create heat in targeted fat cells.

That heat ruptures the cell walls, making it impossible for the cells to store fat. The fat drains out and is suctioned from the body using small medical tubing called a cannula. These hollow tubes are incredibly thin and only require minuscule incisions to enter the skin. 

SmartLipo removes a significant amount of unwanted fat without scarring, extensive recovery time, excessive bleeding, or swelling. The lasers used during treatments also help tighten your skin and refine the final results.

Am I a good candidate for SmartLipo?

To be a good candidate for SmartLipo, you need to reach and be able to maintain a healthy weight. While the treatment permanently eliminates a portion of your fat cells, the cells that remain will still be able to expand and contract to store more or less fat. 

If you gain a significant amount of weight after completing SmartLipo treatment, your remaining fat cells will simply expand to accommodate that fat, marring your results. SmartLipo is an excellent option for refining the contouring of specific body areas but won’t deliver effective results in places where you have a significant accumulation of fat.
